Episode 104: Myth and the Modern Bigfoot Era with Dr. David Floyd
Tuesday Jan 24, 2017
Tuesday Jan 24, 2017
Dr. David Floyd, Associate Professor of English at Charleston Southern University, is becoming an increasingly well-known presenter on the Bigfoot conference circuit. In this episode, he joins Andy and Mark for a conversation that reflects on his experience at the Virginia Bigfoot Conference and anticipates his participation in the International Bigfoot Conference in Kennewick, Washington in early September, where he will share the bill with such Sasquatch luminaries as Dr. Jeff Meldrum, Derek Randles, Lyle Blackburn and Adam Davies.
Dr. Floyd 's research deals with the consistent presence of bigfoot-type creatures in folklore and legend, and the good news is, he is just getting started! We are more than proud to say that Dr. Floyd is a true friend of the show.

Tuesday Jan 17, 2017
Tuesday Jan 17, 2017
In this episode, Andy and Mark are joined by Bryan Borgman for a conversation that emphasizes the fun side of cryptozoology. Bryan has become a mainstay of crypto-conferences in Ohio and West Virginia with his various lines of monstrous goodies, the latest of which is called Cryptorbs. As you will learn, however, that is just one facet of Bryan's interests and talents.
We also talk about the "Irish Forest" Photo and Marian T. Place's "The Boy Who Saw Bigfoot."
Bryan also teaches us the legend of the Hartville (OH) Muck Monster! Who knew?

Episode 102: Year in Review: Bigfoot with a Bucket
Tuesday Jan 10, 2017
Tuesday Jan 10, 2017
2016 has come and gone, and what a year it was. Andy and Mark take a look back on the trail, dash, and drone cam videos that made the rounds on social media, as well as stories that made the news, such as the release of the NAWAC monograph. Andy also goes to the Bigfoot Bookshelf and pulls off "Tales of the Cryptids," an excellent introduction to the field of cryptozoology. The guys think you will agree that 2016 was...interesting.

Episode 101: On the Track of Bigfoot
Tuesday Jan 03, 2017
Tuesday Jan 03, 2017
A new era of SasWhat begins with Episode 101, as Mark and Andy Matzke take the reins to talk about Marian T. Place's "On the Track of Bigfoot," the book that served as Mark's introduction to the Sasquatch phenomenon. Included in this book, which was aimed directly at young readers, is a fairly violent and somewhat forgotten account of the "Chetco River Incident." Mark and Andy review this report, the entire book, and Marian Place's career. If you are interested in Bigfoot, you need to hunt down a copy of this classic!
